Frank N. Rebel, 92, of Mansfield died Saturday evening, May 3, 2003 at his home following a brief illness. He was born November 7, 1910 in North Dakota to the late Anton and Margaret Rebel and was a Mansfield area resident most of his life. He was the owner and operator of Rebel Screw Machine for 32 years. Frank was a member of the Sons of Herman. He loved his work and farm.
He is survived by his wife, Vareta Walters Rebel; a daughter, Dixie Meinzer of Bucyrus; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Gary Rebel of Ashland and Brent and Laura Rebel of Mansfield; twelve grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren; and a brother, Philip Rebel of Mansfield. He was preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters.
Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors one hour prior to funeral services Wednesday, May 7 at 1:00 p.m. conducted by Larry Jarka. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to North Central Ohio Hospice.
