A daughter of Abel Clark and Mary Brenholz. Rachel married Giles Winder on Jun 2, 1861 at her parent's home. Giles was a son of Hannah Reeder, daughter of Merrick Reeder, memorial page number 104467112, and her husband Samuel Winder. Giles was born at Upper Fairfield Twp., in 1835 and died 24 Mar 1863 at Trout Run. He was struck by a splint ball at Lavage Station, Virginia in early 1862. His pension was not started until Feb 2, 1863. He died about three miles from his home on the day he was discharged from Civil War service.
