Ray Dudley Barnes, 80, passed away Thursday, January 16, 2014 at his home in Guernsey of natural causes.

He was born July 2, 1933 in Wheatland, Wyoming.

Dudley and his family did a lot of traveling before they made their home in Hartville, Wyoming. He graduated high school from Sunrise High School. He started working for the Sunrise Mine and stayed there for thirty years as a welder. He then went to work for the Town of Guernsey as the maintenance man and retired from there after ten years. Once he retired he did a lot of his hobby work. He married Mary Winifred Smith in 1957 in Hartville. He has lived most of his life in Hartville.

Dudley is survived by his children, James Barnes of Douglas, Wyoming and Lori Schroder of Casper, Wyoming; grandchildren, Shilo Barnes, Justin Tobin, Chris Tobin, and Dylan Schroder; great granddaughter, Aaliyah Barnes; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Barnes on May 28, 1989; his parents, Gladys Ragan on January 6, 1980 and Allerton Ragan on September 21, 1977.
