Doris "Dot" Belle Steele, 75, of New Matamoras died Sunday July 29, 2012 at Harmar Place in Marietta, Ohio.
She was born on December 1, 1936 in New Matamoras the daughter of John Everette Thompson Sr. and Alice Elcora Beaver Thompson.
She attended Parr Hill Church and was a 1955 graduate of Stover High School in New Matamoras.
She was married on October 6, 1956 to Clark Edward Steele and he preceded her in death on Sept. 21, 1962.
She is survived by one son Ricky Dennis Steele (Michele) of New Matamoras and three grandchildren, Mariah Steele, Makiah, and Mathias Steele. One sister Delores Wise of St. Marys, W.Va.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers John Thompson Jr., William, Edward, and Homer Thompson and three sisters Dorothy Gellner, Mary Bennett and Wilma Shaw.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m Wednesday August 1, 2012 at the Hadley Funeral Home in New Matamoras with Rev. Madalynn Weber and David Beaver officiating.
Burial will be in the Matamoras Cemetery.
