Daughter of Louie Earl Sherter and Ida Camilla Johnson.

December31, 1919 to June 26, 2013
Norma passed away in her sleep Wednesday June 26, 2013 at the age of 93. She was preceded in death by her husband Owen in 2000 after 61 years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by her daughter Janet Jerauld and her son Buddy Allin. She is survived by her daughter Noreen Pate (Don), her son Kelly Allin (Kelly Lee), Grandchildren Katie, Marissa, Rachel and Elise (Josh); Grandsons Aaron Allin (Ericka) and David Rucker; Four step-grandchildren, Michael, John, Steve and Trish Pate and families; Great¬- grandchildren Ivy, Josh and Hanna; Daughter-in-law Carol Allin and family. She also leaves behind her Sister Sylvia (Bob) Fraser and sons Hugh and Bruce and families.
Norma was born in Stelicoom WA. She grew up in the beautiful Methow Valley, Winthrop WA. After coming to California she met and Married Owen Allin in 1939. They raised their family in Santa Barbara and after Owen retired they enjoyed traveling the world. Much of this traveling was due to their son Buddy, who loved having them join him on trips, while playing golf on the PGA Tour. Norma moved to the Santa Ynez valley to live with her daughter Noreen and husband Don lasting 7 years.
Norma devoted her life to her family, and thought more of others than herself. She was always there, and a steadfast beacon in good times and bad. Mom - Your strength, composure, and grace will always be remembered. You lived without fear, and you have died without regrets - oh that we might do the same. May you rest in peace with your Father in Heaven, and may God grant us the grace to carry forth the heritage you have so wonderfully instilled in our hearts. We will miss you deeply... Your Loving Family.
A special Thank you to Rita and Rosie of Apple Ann's in Santa Maria for the wonderful loving care you gave to our mother for her last 2 years.
There will be a graveside service at the Santa Barbara Cemetery on Friday July 5th, 2013 at ll:00am.
