Hampton, NH - Allen Cecil Mounger, 68, of Hampton, died peacefully, Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at Merrimack Valley Hospice House, Haverhill, MA, as a result of his long battle with lung cancer.

Al was born September 20, 1945 in Cleveland, Ohio, the eldest son of the late Cecil Virgil and Julia (Zytowiecki) Mounger.

He graduated from Northeastern and relocated permanently to the Boston area where he met his wife, Gail O'Conner-Mounger of Hampton. They were married on September 29, 1984.

Al retired from Saugus Bank in 2007 where he was a loan officer.

During retirement Al expanded his train layout, entertaining children of all ages with his creativity and design. He was also an avid gardener feeding his neighbors and providing them with all the pumpkins they would ever need. He enjoyed traveling with Gail and last year they traveled to Australia and New Zealand.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his two brothers, John and Cecil.

Visiting hours will be from 2 – 4 PM and 6 – 8 PM on Monday, January 20, 2014 in the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home – Crematory, 811 Lafayette Rd., Hampton. The funeral will be held at 9 AM on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 from the funeral home followed by a 10:00 AM mass of Christian burial celebrated at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, 289 Lafayette Rd., Hampton. Burial will follow in the High Street Cemetery, Hampton. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
