Stephen Muir Albrand passed away on January 13, 2014 at the age of ninety-ne.

He was born December 9, 1922 in Scipio, Utah to William Cecil Albrand and Jean Maria Hatch Albrand.

From an early age, he learned to work hard, handle a horse and shoot straight. Stephen was an accomplished athlete playing football, basketball, and baseball. He won awards as an equestrian.

Stephen married his Millard High School sweetheart, Colleen Brunson from Fillmore, on October 10, 1942 and they were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple.

Stephen was a veteran who served during World War II, where his marksmanship was recognized. After ranching in Scipio, Stephen and his family lived in Salt Lake City, Phoenix and Sandy. As he grew older, he loved spending time talking about his youth.

Stephen loved his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Robert, Preston, Wallace, Margaret, and John; son-in-law, Rodney Spencer; and grandson, Jade Brown. Stephen is survived by his wife, Colleen; children, Carolee Spencer, Candice (Rocky) Brown, Stephen (Paulette) Albrand, Jodi Peloso, Shawn (Frank) Falk, and Shannon (Joe) Cardea; twenty-four grandchildren; forty great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 South Highland Drive (1495 East), East Millcreek, Utah.
