Funeral services for Samuel Radko, 59, of Polk RD 2, who died after being struck by a crane boom, will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the Theodore W. Kuhns Funeral Home. The owner of Radko Auto Wreckers on Route 8, south of Pecan Hill, was dead on arrival at the Franklin Hospital Wednesday evening. He was born April 30,1912, in Wilkes-Barre, a son of John and Martha Koval Radko.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church at Springdale.
He was married August 16, 1941, at Springdale to Gwendolyn Shifrar, who survives, with three sisters, Mrs. Frank (Mary) Savanya of New York City, Mrs. Bernice James of Bristol, NV, Mrs. Robert (Nellie) Burnell of California; and two brothers, John and Walter Radko, both of Springdale.
Services will be at the Kuhns Funeral Home with Rev. Lester P. Thornton, pastor of the Hickory Grove Church of God, officiating. Interment will be in Hickory Grove Cemetery.
