Donald C. Farmer was the younger of two sons born to Willard and Marie Hill Farmer. Donald's older brother was named Marse Farmer, and was about 5 years or so the elder. Both Willard and Marie were born in Virgina; both their sons were born in Kentucky. Marie Hill Farmer was widowed by 1930, when the sons were ages 7 and 2 1/2.
Donald married and had four children: three daughters, Donna Kay, Anna Marie and Lisa, and one son, Marse Farmer; however, he had been divorced for a number of years before his death. Daughter, Anna Marie had a daughter, Stephanie (who died in 2004), twin sons, Randall and Wayne, and two more sons, Marse Allen and Billy John. Daughter, Lisa had a son, Joseph.
