Mrs. Almond Funeral Wednesday
Mrs. Carl (Georgia) Almond, 84 died Sunday evening in Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the First United Presbyterian Church in Miller, with the Rev. David Belzer officiating. Burial was in the G.A.R. Cemetery.
A long time resident of Miller, Mrs. Almond had been making her home with her daughter in Yankton for the past four years. Her husband had for many years been chief of police in Miller, and she was active in a number of church and club affairs.
Surviving her death are her daughter, Mrs. Delores Horacek of Yankton, seven grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Dewey Manning of Miller. Her husband, a sister and brother and two infant children preceded her in death.
