Aletha Loraine Boice and Hugh Craig Boice
A gathering will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2007, in Rose City Cemetery for Aletha Loraine Boice, 94, and her son Hugh Craig Boice, 65. Aletha Boice died March 12, 2003, and her son Hugh Boice died Jan. 31, 2006. They both had lived in Westminster, Calif.
Aletha Bithell was born May 9, 1908 [1909], in Blackfoot, Idaho. She graduated from the University of Idaho. She taught school in Portland and was a swimming instructor for the YMCA for 30 years. In 1935, she married Wesley A. Boice; he died earlier.
Their survivors include her foster son and his foster brother, Stuart "Stu" Shelley, and their extended family.
Remembrances to the YMCA in her memory and to the Boy Scouts of America in his memory.
