Stanley J. Zachousky, 59, of 364 Poplar St., Curtisville, West Deer, died today (Oct. 18, 1974) at 3:30 a.m. in West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh.
He had been a patient in the hospital for two weeks and was in ill health two years.
He was born in Firth Sterling, March 28, 1915, to Frank and Pauline Sucinsky Zachousky.
Mr. Zachousky has been a resident of Curtisville the past 25 years, moving there from McKeesport.
He was employed the past 38 years with U.S. Steel Corp. and for the past 28 years worked in the maintenance department of the Saxonburg plant.
Mr. Zachousky was a World War II Army veteran having served in Europe with a field artillery unit.
He was a member of Transfiguration Roman Catholic Church, Russellton.
Survivors include his widow, Alice Corpal Zachousky; a son, Capt. James S. Zachousky, with the Air Force at Andrews AFB, Maryland; two brothers: Chester and Anthony, both of McKeesport; three sisters: Mrs. Mark (Pauline) Pribonic, McKeesport; Mrs. John (Frances) Razny, Irwin; and Mrs. Anthony (Josephine) Naperatz, McKeesport; and one granddaughter.
Friends will be received after 7 p.m. today in the J. R. Siwicki Funeral Home, McKrell Road, Russellton, where a prayer service will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in Transfiguration Church, Russellton.
Burial will be in Deer Creek Cemetery, Harmar Heights.
