Mary L. Bradford (67) of New Matamoras died Sunday September 5, 2010 at Marietta Memorial Hospital.

She was born September 3, 1943 in East Liverpool, Ohio the daughter of Lloyd and Mary Margaret Hupp Hart. She was a member of the Matamoras Church of Christ.

Mary attended St. Marys High School until 1960. She earned her final credit and graduated from Frontier High School in 1979. She worked for 31 years for the Frontier Local School District as a cook for both Matamoras Elementary and Frontier High School. Mary, with the diligent efforts of Dr. Kelli Cawley and the dedicated staff of Marietta Memorial Hospital and the Ohio State University Hospital, fought a year-long battle with leukemia and passed peacefully with her family at her bedside. She loved God and her family and always put them first. She celebrated life and would want her family and friends to do the same.

She is survived by her husband Bobby J. Bradford whom she married in 1960. She is also survived by one daughter Celesta Crawford (Bob) of New Matamoras, Oh. and one son Todd Bradford (Alison) of New Matamoras, Oh. Four grandchildren: Paige Cook (Wirt) of St. Marys, W.Va; Drew Crawford, Jacob and Meredith Bradford of New Matamoras, Oh. and one great grandson Maxtin Cook

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters Stella and Shirley Hart and one infant brother.

Services will be held on Wednesday September 8 at 1:00 P.M. at the Matamoras Church of Christ with ministers Bob and Drew Crawford and Todd Bradford officiating. Burial will be in the Matamoras Cemetery.
