J. S. Cordier and Miss Annie Logan Martin, the pretty daughter of Mr. Ben Martin, of Rowland, were married at Crab Orchard yesterday. The groom is in the employ of the L. & N. and is a steady, industrious young man. The bride is one of the belles of her section and an exceedingly fine young woman.

Sam Cordier, familiarly known as Pete, had both legs broken, one above the ankle and the other just below the knee, at the depot here Friday morning. He was standing on a freight car that had been pushed into the switch and which left the track. He jumped and sustained the injuries mentioned above. Mr. Cordier has been in the employ of the L. & N. for many years and is a son of Frank Cordier, of this place.
