Troy E. Eavenson passed away January 1, 2014 in Wichita Falls, Texas. He was born December 23, 1919 in Gainesville Texas to Thomas Everett and Maggie Baldwin Eavenson. He married Pauline Ellis January 24, 1954 in Vernon and she preceded him in death on February 1, 2012. He served in the US Army from 1942-1945 and began working for the Waggoner Estate in 1948 where he worked for 36 years as a cowboy. He later worked at the Elevator and the Moonshine Gate for Waggoners. Troy was known far and wide for his musical talent and especially his beautiful fiddle playing. Survivors include one son, Mike Eavenson of Seymour; two daughters, Lena Jean Foster of Longview and Lola Jane Prober of Blanchard, Oklahoma; one brother, Slim Eavenson of Vernon; one sister, Maggie Duvivier of Lompoc, California; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Polly, one grandson, Loyd Heath Hammonds, three brothers and four sisters.
