Agnes L. Dague was born on January 16, 1920 to Adrian and Luella (Routier) Svenson in Chamberlain, SD. She passed away, at the age of 89, at home in rural Verndale, on Thursday, April 16, 2009. Agnes was united in marriage with Willard Dague on January 16, 1939 at her parent's home in Chamberlain. Agnes was a homemaker while Willard farmed in South Dakota until 1953 when they moved to Poplar, MN and later to Verndale in 1961 when she worked in the Wadena Butter Plant. In 1969 they moved to Rochester and she was employed as a home health aide until retiring in Verndale in 1983. She was an active member of Hope Chapel Church, Women's Missionary Prayer Fellowship, and the Ladies Aid. She loved reading her Bible, playing games with all of her family, crocheting, and traveling the United States visiting her family. Agnes was preceded in death by her husband, Willard in May 2002; her parents, Adrian and Luella; brothers, Adrian, Charles, and Leslie; sisters, Florence and Ethel; and her grandson, John. She is survived by her son Willard (Kathy) Dague of Anoka; daughters, Violet (Gary) Dahlvang, Donna (Charles) White, and Judy (Chuck) Bimberg, all of Verndale, and Alice Murphy of Little Rock, AR; 15 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 2 step-great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren, and 3 step-great-great-grandchildren; and sisters Margaret Powell of Pukwana, SD, Bernice Hintze of Hutchinson, and Helen Larson of Brandon, SD. Funeral services were held at 11:00 AM at Hope Chapel in rural Verndale with Reverend Dennis Gordon officiating. Honorary pallbearers were Reneé White, Rhonda Douglas, Phyllis Kveton, Cindy Shutt, Christan Atkins, and Lan Bimberg. Pallbearers were Juanita Dahlvang, Teresa Dague, Amy Dague, Rachel Moehn, LeAnn White, and Jeni Bimberg. Interment was in the Poplar Cemetery in rural Poplar.
