This enormous burial mound just beyond the cemetery's main gate comprises 20 lots and is surmounted by an impressive Greek temple. "JOHN ANDERSON." appears on the pediment, and "A.D. 1864" is inscribed over the entrance door. Here are entombed the once famous New York City tobacconist John Anderson and many of his descendants. There are no exterior inscriptions for any individual. A list of tomb occupants, at best, partial, follows.
