Mrs. Alice Sicotte, a resident of the Winthrop for the past twenty years, passed away Thursday morning, after an illness lasting some time. About a week ago her condition became critical and the members of her family were informed that her recovery was impossible.

Mrs. Sicotte was well known at the Winthrop and also had a great many friends in Ishpeming. She was possessed of a lovable disposition, which one could not help but admire. she was a native of Arma, Ireland, where she was born sixty-nine years ago. Upon coming to this country the family located in Massachusetts, where they resided for several years coming to Upper Michigan in 1887. They lived in Dexter and Clarksburg before going to Winthrop.

Mrs. Sicotte is survived by four sons and two daughters. They are Mrs. Wilfred Isabelle, Mrs. Amel Lajoie, Henry and Zeno Sicotte, of the Winthrop; Dr. I Sicotte, of Michigamme, and Joseph Sicotte, of Negaunee.

The funeral will take place tomorrow afternoon, with services at St. Joseph's church, this city.
