Grants Pass, Ore. -- Maude Reeve, 77, a former Clearwater County assessor's clerk and schoolteacher, died Tuesday night at her Grants Pass, Ore., home of infirmites of age.

She was born Aug. 14, 1900 at Steele, Idaho, to Albert and Rosa Baker. She moved with her parents to Orofino in 1913.

She attended the University of Idaho at Moscow, teaching school for four years before taking the clerk's position in the assessor's office.

She married Earl Reeve at Orofino May 18, 1924. He was employed as a maintenance man for the school district and later as a fireman for the post office.

The couple moved to Grants Pass in 1971. He died in 1973. Mrs. Reeve was a member of the First Christian Church at Grants Pass.

Mrs. Reeve is survived by two daughters, Alice Scriber of Grants Pass and Rosella Toft of Williamsburg, Ohio; a foster daughter, Genevieve Crowder of White Plains, Md., 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. July 5 at Gilbert's Funeral Chapel at Orofino. The Rev. Charles B. Billups of Orofino First Christian Church will officiate. Burial is at Riverside Cemetery at Orofino.
