Jewell Marie Kindrick

(March 18, 1922 - September 20, 2012)


Jewell Marie Kindrick, daughter of the late Tinnie and Elizabeth (Pitts) Willcut, was born on March 18, 1922 in Stringtown, Missouri and departed this life on September 20, 2012 in the Poplar Bluff Regional Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. She had attained the age of ninety years, six months and two days. Mrs. Kindrick had resided in Poplar Bluff, Missouri for the past thirty-five years and was formerly of Ellsinore, Missouri. She was retired from the Florsheim Shoe Factory and was a member of the Walton Chapel Church. She was a volunteer at the veteran's hospital and enjoyed cooking, crocheting, watching the Atlanta Braves and playing pinochle. She especially enjoyed playing with the grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was a wonderful doting grandmother. On March 20, 1940 she was united in marriage to Ira Kindrick. He preceded her in death on September 26, 1994. She was also preceded in death by one son, Roger Dale Kindrick on April 9, 1986; one daughter, Iris Sue Bates who died on Nov. 24, 1981; two grandchildren, Marty Maupin and Michelle Kindrick and two brothers, Lester and Jack Willcut. Survivors include one son, Norman Kindrick and his wife, Diane of Ellsinore; two daughters, Barbra Kindrick Condray and Ruth Sheehy both of Poplar Bluff; six grandchildren, Johnny Condray, Tammy Condray, Mike Maupin, Misty Wallace, Dana Bates, Lee Ann Bates; twelve great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and many other relatives and friends who mourn her passing.


A visitation will begin at 12 noon Monday, September 24, 2012 in the McSpadden Funeral Home in Ellsinore, Missouri with the funeral service following at 1:00 p.m., Rev. James Huffman will officiate. Burial will follow in the Walton Chapel Cemetery. Music: "I'll Fly Away" and "Amazing Grace" Pallbearers: Family.
