The Rev. John Hoeksma officiated at the services in the Sherburnville Christian church at 2:30 p.m. and burial was in the Sherburnville cemetery under the direction of the Marshall funeral home of Grant Park.
Mr. Baker had farmed for 25 years near Grant Park. He came to Kankakee county 25 years ago from Holland, where he was born March 14, 1908. He married Nelda Knisely in 1933.
Survivors include his wife, Nelda; sons, Robert, Donald and Bruce all of Grant Park; brothers, Charles of Oak Lawn and Samuel of Grant Park; and sister, Mrs. Tena Campenga of Westville, Ind. and Mrs. Hilda Langland of Oak Lawn.
Mr. Baker was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Baker of Grant Park, and a brother, William.
