Sally M. York, 53, formerly of Birmingham, Alabama, died Friday evening in a New Orleans, Louisiana hospital after a long illness.
A native of Jefferson County, Alabama, Mrs. York lived in Birmingham until about ten years ago. She was a member of the Baptist church.
Surviving are her husband, George W. York; sons, Hulsey B. York and Ben York; daughter, Hazel Hall, all of New Orleans; half brothers, W. Grady Ward and Whit Robins, both of Birmingham; half sister, Cora Thomas of Dora, Alabama; and four grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at McCormick Church at Robins Cross Roads. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery, Brown service directing.
