William Kilbert Jones, 84, of 25 E. Brookline St., Winston-Salem, died Monday, Nov. 7, 2005, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.

He was born on Feb. 3, 1921 in Grayson Co., Va., a son of the late Marlie F. and Catherine Bowers Jones.
He was a loving husband, father and brother.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving from 1942 to 1946.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters: Lorine Isom and Daisy Mae Duncan.

Surviving are his wife, Lula Davidson Jones of the home; a daughter, Virginia Sexton of Winston-Salem; a grandson, Andrew J. Kohan IV of Winston-Salem; a great-grandson, William Hayden of Kernersville; two great-granddaughters, Alexandria Taylor and Madison Blake Kohan, both of High Point; two brothers, M.F. Jones and Sherman Jones, both of Mount Airy; and five sisters, Imogene Snow of Mount Airy, Inez Ward of Independence. Va., Viline Pack of Galax, Va., Alene Cochran Payne of Mount Airy, and Luria Jones of Fries, Va.; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted at noon Wednesday, Nov. 9, at Mount Hope United Methodist Church, Fries, Va., with Chaplain Fred Moretz officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Nov. 9, at the church.

Memorials may be directed to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. Mr. Jones touched hearts and lives at Kate B. Reynolds.
