Funeral services for Charles Jefferson "Charlie" Workman, 41, of 1712 Taylor Street, an employee of Southern Bell and Telegraph Company who died of self-inflicted wounds at 3 o'clock Thursday morning, will be held at the McCormick mortuary at 6:30 this evening.

Formerly of Johnston,m he made his home in Columbia for a number of years. He is survived by his widow,m Mrs. Freda Grubbs Workman; two sisters, Mrs. Emmie Eola Workman Burnett of Johnston and Mrs. Miriam Workman Hanna of Charleston, and his step-mother, Mrs.J. C. Workman of Columbia. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Services will be conducted by the Rev. E. E. Colvin at Rosewood Baptist Churchy with interment at Elmwood Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be D. H. Garvin, G. B. Madden, H. H. Price, R. H. Stewart, J. J. Prigdan and D. F. Gellman.
