Jerry Jerome Metcalf better known as Roy Ben Daniels age 65, of Barbourville, was born there on October 2, 1948. He was a son of the late George Daniels and Mary Jean Shelton Daniels. Mr. Metcalf died Thursday, January 9, 2014 at his home. He was a former factory worker in Cincinnati, Ohio. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by: his wife, Lynn Metcalf; two nieces; Jenita Daniels and April North.
He is survived by his brother, Clem Franklin "Sonny" Daniels and wife, Jane of Callebs Creek; his sisters; Alice Warren and husband, Darrell, of Corbin; Alisie Faye Daniels of Belleville, Michigan; several beloved nieces and nephews; and and his College Heights family.

Funeral Services will be conducted in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel, Sunday, January 12, 2014 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Tommy Frazier officiating. Burial will follow in the Shelton Cemetery at Paynes Branch in Knox County, with family members and friends serving as pallbearers. Friends will be received at the Hopper Funeral Home, Saturday after 6:00 pm and Sunday after 10:00 am until the funeral hour at 2:00 pm. Hopper Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
