FORT ATKINSON – Mrs. Ronald H. Bailey, 60, Rte. 3, Whitewater, died at 9:30 a.m. Monday in her home of a heart attack. The former Dorothea Alice Hess was born in Moment, Ill., Sept. 8, 1908, the daughter of John W. and Sarah Bishop Hess. She was married Dec. 4, 1928, in Woodstock. Ill., to Ronald H. Bailey and the couple resided there until moving to the Fort Atkinson area 11 years ago. She was a member of the Methodist Church. Surviving are her husband; two sons, Ronald D., of Rockford, and Lawrence, with the USAF in Fredericka, Del.; two grandchildren; a brother, Frank Hess, Libertyville, Ill.; and six sisters, Mrs. Lee Stewart, Jacksonville, Miss., Mrs. Harold Turner, Greenwood, Ill., Mrs. Emmett Stock and Mrs. Robert White, both of Woodstock, Mrs. Clifton Peterson, Hebron, Ill. and Mrs. Erwin Beckwith, New York. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Royal F. Hayes Funeral Home, the Rev. Kenneth Engleman, Whitewater Methodist Church pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Whitewater. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday.
