LAYTON – Mariam Perry Brimhall, 85, passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2014 of natural causes.

She was born August 31, 1928 in Vernal, Utah, the daughter of Myron Duncan and Mary Belle Batty Perry.

Mariam married Alton Keith Brimhall on November 10, 1948 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held various callings throughout her life. She served two missions with her husband; San Diego, CA from 1991-1992 and Omaha, NE from 1996-1997. Mariam loved her years of serving in the Ogden Temple and indexing family history records. She also enjoyed sewing quilts and other items for humanitarian purposes. Crocheting, reading, and gardening were also favorite pastimes.

Mariam's entire life was centered around her family.

Surviving are her children, Kris (Charles) Zaugg, Syracuse; Marge (Mike) Bate, Phoenix, AZ; Tom Brimhall, West Point; Jim Brimhall, Ogden; Virginia (Jim) Snow, Fruit Heights; Pam (Scott) Collins, Centerville; Patricia (Greg) Lewis, Ashburn, VA; Joann (Chad) Twitchell, Albuquerque, NM; Doug (Lorraine) Brimhall, Springville; Jennie (Gary) Hadfield, Layton; 56 grandchildren, 73 great-grandchildren, brothers, Gordon B. Perry, Vernal; Derrell C. Perry, Gilbert, AZ; sisters, Donna Shimmin, American Fork; and Dorothy Pedersen, Vernal.

Preceded in death by her husband A. Keith Brimhall, one grandchild and one great-grandchild.

Interment, West Point City Cemetery.
