Lillian E. Wright, 90, of Green Valley Community, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2014, at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born October 13, 1923, in Harrison County, a daughter of the late John Orval Ball and Ruth Isma Ashby Ball.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Paul Wright, who passed away on September 18, 1990.

She is survived by two daughters, Marilyn Sandy and her husband Kenneth of Bridgeport, and Terry Woodson and her husband Kenneth of Rosemont; two sons, Paul "Darrell" Wright and his wife Edith of Independence, and William "Lee" Wright of Rosemont; three brothers, Carl Ball of Buckhannon; Edward Ball of Bridgeport; and Eugene "Gene" Ball of Buckhannon; and a sister, Wilma Suter of Bridgeport; 25 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren complete her family

She was preceded in death by a son, Arza Wright; a daughter, Georgie Wright; a grandson, Michael Woodson; three sisters, Betty Sandy, Mary Nixon, and Edith Snider; and four brothers, Ralph Ball, Charles "Bud" Ball, John Ball and Ronald Ball.

Mrs. Wright was a member of the Green Valley Church and the Flemington Senior Center. She enjoyed going shopping with her sister Wilma, and she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Family and friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport, on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., where services will be conducted on Friday, January 10, 2014, at 11 a.m. with Reverend Thomas P. Horne presiding. Interment will be in Green Valley Cemetery.
