Died on the 3d inst., at her residence in this county, Mrs. Martha Elizabeth, wife of James F. Custard, and only daughter of Mr. Dawson.
The deceased was born July 19, 1827. She leaves a husband and five little boys to mourn her loss.

She was sometimes known as Sarah Martha Elizabeth Dawson Custard. The daughter of George William Dawson and Polly Newland Dawson. Have seen information she was born 1827 in Boone County, Missouri. Her father's obituary would indicate that she was born in Callaway County if 1837 is the correct birth date. She was the first wife of John F. Custard. No headstone has been found for her.
