Pennington was recorded as being born in Indiana and his father in VA. Elizabeth was recorded as being born in KY and her father in PA.

J. J. Pennington dies in Hospital
John J. Pennington, 83, city resident since 1906, died Sunday in Mercy hospital, where he had been a patient nine days. Death was attributed to coronary thrombosis.
Pennington came to Oklahoma City from Missouri. Retired for many years he made his home at the Oliver Hotel. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist church.
Funeral services will be in Hunter chapel at 2 p.m. Tuesday, with burial in Sunny Lane Cemetery.
He is survived by two sons, John J., Jr., San Antonio, Texas, and G. R., 2023 N. E. 28; a daughter, Mrs. Naomi Russell, NW of the City; a brother, Ezra, east of the city; 10 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
