William Clarke, Whose Death Occurred Friday, Was Resident for 37 Years
Calgary has lost another of its oldtimers in the death of William Clarke, which occurred at midnight, Friday, Aug. 4, at the Holy Cross hospital, after an illness of only three days. The deceased, who was born in the province of Quebec, was 64 years old and has resided in the city for 37 years, having been in business here as a contractor. He was a brother of the late S.J. Clarke, one time a commissioner of the city of Calgary, and is survived by his widow and seven children, also two sisters, Mrs. W.H. Cuddie, and Mrs. F. Fairey, and one brother, Malby Clarke, all of this city.
