Memorial service: 4 p.m. Thursday at First Presbyterian Church of Fort Worth, 1000 Penn St., Fort Worth.
Mrs. Henckels was born Jan. 18, 1922, into a fifth-generation Fort Worth family. She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Jack, who was the great love of her life. Mr. Henckels set five world speed records for hydroplane racing and was owner of the Natatorium Laundry, Johnson Towel Supply and TexGal Linen Supply, which were founded by his grandfather, James E. Johnson.
Mrs. Henckels' father was William L. Evans and her mother was Annie Zinn Evans. Her paternal great-grandfather was John F. Her maternal grandfather was John Zinn, the second justice of the peace of Fort Worth and a founder of the First Presbyterian Church.

Survivors: Son, Kirk Henckels and wife, Fernanda Kellogg, of New York City, N.Y.; stepgranddaughter, Fernanda Gilligan of London, England; nephew, William T. Evans and wife, Lee Evans; niece, Cindy Evans; and nephew, James Evans.
