Mrs. Margaret Hagewood Wire was the widow of the late John B. Wire.

She is survived by one son, David Wire of Baton Rouge; seven daughters, Mrs. Wesley W. Thom, Sr., Mrs. Paul Jumel and Mrs. Marvin E. Phenix, all of Baton Rouge, Mrs. Ann Pouncey and Mrs. C.G. Barnett, both of Big Springs, Tex., Mrs. Julius Aaron of Natchitoches and Mrs. Mary Allen of Winnfield; 27 grandchildren; and 48 great-grandchildren.
