Richard Thornelow Morris, son of T.T. Morris and Phyllis Schauff Morris, was born May 18, 1932 in What Cheer, Iowa. He was a 1949 graduate of What Cheer High School. He worked for a short time at Hemsley Garage before enlisting in the United States Air Force. During his twenty year career as an insurance adjustor, Richard served three years in Turkey, as well as three years in Scotland. After retirement from the United States Air Force, Richard drove semi for a short period of time before beginning his second career with the Farmer's Union Insurance Company in Oklahoma. Here, he worked for numerous years before fully retiring. Richard enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, hunting, fishing, traveling, bowling, but above all, he enjoyed the time spent with his family on military leave.

Richard's memory will be honored by his two daughters, Stacy Morris of Eugene, Oregon and Susan (Peter) Fracchia of Bacaville, California; one brother, Charles (Carmell) Morris of Oklahoma City; one sister, Elizabeth Storm of Thornburg; three grandchildren, Tammi Kinkade, Jeremy Kinkade, and DeLisa Fracchia; and nine nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother in law, Harlan Storm, and a sister in law Donna Morris.
