William Roy Thatcher, 68, 985 S. 1st West, died Saturday in a Salt Lake City hospital at 7:15 p.m.

Born April 28, 1894, Pocatello, Idaho, son of Johnathan Edward and Christina Mae Poulson Thatcher. Married Ruth Morton June 10, 1930, Pocatello, Idaho. Apartment house owner. Member Apartment House Assoc. Lived in Salt Lake City since 1930.

Survivors: widow, Salt Lake City, four sons and four daughters. W. E., Newark, N.J.; Roy Edwin, John M. and Paul, all Salt Lake City; Mrs. Mildred Haring, Amarillo, Texas; Mrs. Laura Ackles, Mrs. Alta Koopman, Sylvia Thatcher, all of Salt Lake City; one sister Mrs. Della Fayle, Idaho Falls; two brothers, Ralph H. Thatcher, Oakland, Calif.; John (Jack) Thatcher of Port Angeles, Wash.; 14 grandchildren.

Services Wednesday, 2:30 p.m., 36 E. 7th South, Interment, Kaysville-Layton Cemetery. Friends may call at 36 E. 7th South, Tuesday, 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday prior to services.
