Mrs. Fay Margaret Gavin, age 84 and longtime resident of Mobile, AL, passed away on Friday, January 3, 2014. She is preceded in death by her parents, Alex and Georgia Boothe and husband James I. Gavin. Mrs. Gavin was retired as a food service worker at the University of South Alabama and member of Airport Blvd. Baptist Church for over 35 years. She is survived by her children, Linda (Jay) Bringardner and James (Cindy) Gavin; grandsons, Michael (Stacie) Specht, Stevie (Renee) Specht, Chris (Tonya) Specht, Spencer Gavin; granddaughters; Amanda (John) Williams and Lauren Gavin. She also leaves to cherish her memory, six great-grandchildren; Allison Specht, McKayla Kerlin, Michael Specht, Wiley Williams, Tyler Specht and Lilly Williams and sisters-in-law, Toni Boothe, Nell Gavin, Dean Gavin and many other family and friends. She will be remembered as a loving and caring aunt to all her nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Airport Blvd. Baptist Church on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. until service time of 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Lott Cemetery, Sand Ridge Rd., Chunchula, AL.
