Lillian Denton Billings, 79, of Owensboro, passed away Friday, Sept. 8, 2006, at her home. Born Aug. 15, 1927, to the late Richard and Amanell Castile Denton, Mrs. Billings was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, gardening and playing cards. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Billings; brothers Richard Denton Jr., Wendell Denton and William Denton; and sisters Stella Jones, Patricia Denton and Bernie Mae Denton.

Survivors include daughters Wilma Nash of Owensboro and Shirley Ellison of Spotsville; grandchildren Jayson Billings, James Nash, Paula Jean Hicks and Emmett Ellison Jr.; six great-grandchildren; and sisters Wanda Brown and Irene Harley of Henderson.

Services are at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Glenn Funeral Home followed by burial in Mount Zion Cemetery in Reed with Jayson Billings, Jimmy Nash, Bully Long, Danny Long, Wayne Ellison, Emmett "Bubby" Ellison Jr., W.C. Fulkerson and Walter Smallwood serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be after 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Lillian Billings Family, c/o Wilma Nash, 1317 Jackson St., Owensboro, KY 42303 or to Hospice, 723 Harvard Drive, Owensboro, KY 42301.
