Mrs. Amanda Anders Dead At Nursing Home

Mrs. Amanda Harriet Anders, 75, pioneer of the Craig, Wash., area, died yesterday morning at 11:50 at the Hendley nursing home, 7th and Highland. She had been ill for the last four years.

Born Dec. 20, 1876, at Glencoe, Minn. Mrs. Andrews [as spelled] came west with her parents when she was 7. They settled at Craig, Wash.

She married H. Oscar Anders at Craig in 1894. They moved to Myrtle, Idaho, in 1912, where her husband died in 1933.

Mrs. Anders has lived at Clarkston since 1946.

Survivors include two sons, James D. and Conford E. Anders, both of Myrtle, and a daughter, Mrs. Edith Boatsman, Marysville, Calif. Five grandsons and two great grandsons also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. (PST) Monday at Merchant's chapel. The Rev. Marvin E. Smith will officiate, assisted by the Rev. John Hiller. Burial will be at Gifford cemetery.
