Judge Charles Speck Collector of Internal Revenue, died unexpectedly at his home today. His death was so unlooked for that several of his children, who live in other cities and States, could not be notified in time to reach his bedside before he breathed his last. The first of this year he suffered from a stroke of paralysis, but had apparently fully recovered. He leaves seven daughters -- Misses Laura, Celeste, and Grace, Mrs. Harrison S. Thompson, Mrs. E.G. Shields, Mrs. B.L. Loney, and Mrs. Edward Fladd.
