Funeral services at Estel Perrin Avey Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery in Marshalltown.
Bob was born January 22, 1929 to Harold and Violet (Miller) Gunderson in Marshalltown. He was educated in the Marshalltown school system.
He was employed with Lennox Industries for 45 years, starting at age 17. The first 20 years of his employment he was a sheet metal specialist. The last 25 years of his employment he was a supervisor in the factory. In his spare time he also installed many furnaces and air conditioning units.
Bob was united in marriage to Edith Bogard Rickett. They later divorced. For the last 37 years he has spent his life with Velma Eibs, they married January 9, 2009. Bob loved his acreage just outside of Marshalltown. He enjoyed the many trees and garden he had there. He loved his fishing trips to Canada and his time spent camping and fishing in Minnesota. He was a member of Lennox Management Club. He was baptized in Our Savior Lutheran Church in Marshalltown.
Bob will be missed by his wife; Velma, his children; Debra (Doug) Goodell, Todd (Dixie) Gunderson, Kyle Gunderson, Tyler (Sylvia) Gunderson, step children; Connie Fuller, Steven (Linda) Eibs, Gregory (Jackie) Eibs, Ricki (Denny) Eibs Tuttle, a sister Greta (Jim) Benson of St. Center, IA, seven grandchildren, ten step grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousin. He was preceded in death by two sons, David and Robert Gunderson, his parents, Harold and Violet, two sisters, Doris Hartwig and Gloria Baughmen.
