Husband of Maxine (Beckwith) Davey. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I. He married Maxine on 6-21-1917 in Oberlin, Ohio and they had 2-children:

Marilyn, born 1921

Paul was a member of Yale College Class of 1918. After graduating he incorporated and became president of Davey Compressor Company in Ohio. His company was awarded the Army-Navy "E" with three additional stars for the merits of its activities in the World War II war effort.

He received thirty two US Patents, twenty six Canadian Patents and one Argentine Patent, covering a considerable range of developments in the field of tree care and moving, and in such fields as air compressor design, heavy duty truck power take-offs, mechanical motion, etc.
