Funeral services for Thesta Ann Hogan will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 11:00 AM in Burkhalter Chapel at Trinity United Methodist Church with Rev. Rolly Walker and Rev. Brian Mercer officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston.

Mrs. Hogan was born on February 24, 1917 in Jonesboro, LA, the daughter of the late Judge and Mrs. E.L. Walker. She grew up in Ruston and graduated from Tech High School. She received college degrees from Centenary College, Louisiana State University, and the University of Mississippi. She was a librarian and retired from the Louisiana Tech Library in 1977.

She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Long Leaf Pine Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Pierian Club.

Mrs. Hogan was preceded in death by her husband, Gordan Pirie Hogan and her brother, Hale McBride Walker. She is survived by her sister in law, Mrs. Hale Walker of Denton, TX; her niece, Mrs. David Laschinger of Denton, TX; and her nephew, Lee M. Walker of Southside, AL.

Visitation will be held at Burkhalter Chapel at Trinity Methodist Church at 10:00 AM until service time on Saturday.
