St. George, Utah -- A former Orofino resident, Doris Mangum, 45, died at a St. George hospital Friday from complications following surgery earlier in the week.
She was born May 21, 1930, at Enterprise, Utah, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Drake, and attended schools at Enterprise.
She married Carlos Mangum Jan. 1, 1947, at Panaca, Nev. Mangum was employed in construction work and they moved to Orofino in 1965. He died June 13, 1971.
Mrs. Mangum continued to live at Orofino until 1973, when she moved to St. George.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Survivors include her mother, of Central, Utah: one son, Steven Mangum, Cedar City, Utah: one daughter, Lynette Shriver, Orofino; five grandchildren, five brothers and five sisters.
The body may be viewed at Gilbert's Funeral Chapel. Orofino, from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Wednesday.
Graveside funeral services conducted by the LDS Church will be at Weseman Cemetery, Orofino.
