Frances was born in Coleman on May 17, 1914 to the late Hale N. and Mexie Mathis Griffin. She was reared in Coleman where she graduated from the Coleman High School. On July 30, 1944 Frances married Jay Robert Pearce in Coleman and they celebrated forty-eight years of marriage. Bob preceded her in death in 1992. Frances was a lifetime resident of Coleman, a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church of Coleman.
Survivors include two sons, John C. and wife Kathy Pearce of Santa Anna, Texas and Richard Pearce of Coleman, Texas; three grandchildren, Erica Perce of Dunham, North Carolina, Anna and husband Ralph Galvan of Joshua, Texas and Robert and wife Marguerite of Lubbock, Texas; and three great- grandchildren.
