Lloyd "Chuck" Lake, 68, died Sunday, December 29, 2013, in Pampa.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, January 2, 2014, at Hillcrest Cemetery in McLean with Rev. Matthew McCurley, pastor of First Baptist Church in Canadian, officiating. Military honors will be accorded by the U. S. Army, Fort Hood, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Mr. Lake was born on November 16, 1945 in Avena Township, Illinois. Chuck graduated from Flora Township High School in Illinois. He served in the U. S. Army. Chuck has been a resident of Pampa since 1973. He worked for Legacy Reserves where he finally retired. Chuck met his partner Millie Plemons in 1999 and she preceded him in death on August 7, 2013. Chuck enjoyed working with wood and enjoyed making furniture. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents; Clarence and Margie Lake; three brothers, Norman Lake, Darrell Lake and Thergle; one sister, Mary Lake.

Survivors include three adoptive daughters, Linda McMullen of Pampa, Connie Franks and husband Larry of Canadian and Sharon Taft and husband Del of Dumas; five brothers, Boyd Lake of Kentucky, Calvin Lake, Roger Lake, Justin Lake and Gary Lake all of Illinois: one sister, Kaye Withrow of Illinois.
