She was a 1945 graduate from LaFontaine High School. She married Arden D. Thomas on July 11, 1953. She started working in 1974 at Richards Restaurant, she also worked at PaPa Joes Restaurant in Wabash, Indiana. She was a homemaker to her family. She was a member of American Legion Post 15 Ladies Auxiliary, VFW Post 286 Ladies Auxiliary, and Moose Lodge 1195 all of Wabash, Indiana. She was also a member of New Life Baptist Church of Wabash, Indiana.
She was preceded in death by a son, Terry Sutton in 1995, a brother, and two sisters.
