Services for Leslie Grant Burgess, 79, 215 Garfield Ave., will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Colonial Chapel. The Rev. Tom Willis, Jr., will officiate. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Burgess was born in Maitland, Mo. A retired farmer, he had been a St. Joseph resident the past 30 years.
He is survived by five sons, Gene Burgess, Maitland; Dale Burgess and Leslie G. Burgess, both of Kansas City, Mo., Harold Burgess, St. Joseph, and Paul Burgess, living in Utah; three daughters, Geraldine Mignery, St. Joseph, Lila Faye Ward, living in Oklahoma, and Judy Holmes of Kansas City.; four sisters, Adie Rauch Nd Alberta Garner, both of Maitland, Lillie Perry, Mound City, Mo., and Vivian Davis of Savannah, Mo., 29 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Burgess died Monday morning at a local hospital.

Leslie Grant Burgess, 79, died this morning at a local hospital.
Mr. Burgess, a native of Maitland, made his home at 2115 Garfield. He was a retired farmer and had lived in St. Joseph for the past 30 years.
