George I. Flatt, 66, a retired Delaware and Hudson Railroad company conductor, died Wednesday, October 4, 1950, at his home, 27 Peru Street, Plattsburgh, New York, following a lengthy illness.

Mr. Flatt served with the 5th infantry Regiment when that unit was garrisoned at the then Plattsburgh Barracks and he was a Veteran of Service in Cuba from 1907 to 1909.

Mr. Flatt, a native of Plattsburgh, was a member of Lodge No. 828, F. and A. M., and of Edward and Moses Wells Post 125, Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He was survived by his wife, one daughter, Mrs. William Edward of Fitchburg, Massachusetts; two sons, Everett of Detroit, Michigan, and Donald of Plattsburgh; nine sisters, seven brothers and six grandchildren.

Funeral services were held from the Blixt Funeral Home in Plattsburgh, Friday afternoon, October 6, 1950, at 2:30 o'clock. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery.
