Arnold E. LaRue

Arnold E. LaRue was born January 29, 1924, at Jewell, Kansas. He departed this life Sunday, January 19, 1997, at Nebraska Veterans' Home in Grand Island, Neb., at the age of 72 years.

He answered the call of his country by serving in the Army during World War II. He was married to Beulah Oglevie August 23, 1945. To this union three children were born.

Preceding him in death were a son, Gary: his parents, James and Hazel LaRue; and a sister, Virginia Anderson.

He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, Beulah, of Miltonvale; a daughter, Cindy Pusey, of Solon, Ohio; a son, Dennis LaRue, of Durham, N.C.; 6 grandchildren; and several cousins and nieces and nephews.

Arnold earned a Bachelor of Religion Degree from Miltonvale Wesleyan College in 1951. He pastored Wesleyan churches in the Dakota and Nebraska Districts for 21 years.
Rev. LaRue was Pastor of the Redfield Wesleyan Methodist Church in Redfield, Spink County, SD for several years.

He has been a patient in a nursing home for 13 years where he suffered with Alzheimers Disease.

He will be remembered for the love and compassion to those he ministered to and for much patience in suffering.

Funeral services were conducted at the F.C. Hill Memorial Wesleyan Church in Miltonvale with Rev. Clark Streubing, Rev. Duane Lauber, and Rev. Mark Wilcox officiating. A son-in-law, Dr. Tim Pusey, was the soloist with Connie Welsh accompanying at the organ.

Casketbearers were Dennis LaRue, Tim Pusey, Justin Pusey, Ryan LaRue, Elden Myer, and Ed Shannon.

Burial Was in the Miltonvale Cemetery at Miltonvale, Ks.

Memorials will be for the Bethel Faith Mission Home in Kenya, Africa, headed by Dr. Eva Gilger.
