Born Oct. 4, 1937 in Clay County, he was the son of Otho Melvin and Esther Anita (Croft) Waggoner I.
He was a retired electronics technician from Crane Naval Base. He was a member of the Blessed Hope Baptist Church of Jasonville; NARFE 1688 of Linton; and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include, his wife, Cora L. (Tendick) Waggoner of Linton; two sons, Ronald Edwin Waggoner of Bloomington and Renos Alan Waggoner of Jasonville; one grandson, Benjamin Joseph Waggoner of Jasonville; and one sister, Hazel Sue Wilson of Maywood, Mo.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Otho Melvin Waggoner II, Theodore Haviland and Loraine Haviland, and his parents.
Funeral service will be at Welch & Cornett Linton Chapel at 2 p.m. on Wednesday with Pastor Robert Ross officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by the American Legion Post 22 of Linton.
